The June Revenue reports are in for the Detroit Casinos and it doesn't look pretty for Greektown and MotorCity. I actually feel that MotorCity is a bigger disappointment since these comparisons are against 2007 when their permanent casino wasn't opened (although their larger gaming floor was opening at the time). I think the quote from the Greektown spokesman is also telling, saying that customers had the mistaken perception that the casino was closed immediately after it filed for bankruptcy protection. Whoops that would be a problem. Meanwhile, despite these problems, the MGM Grand continues to saunter along with a healthy 25% increase in their revenue...
